Vinho de cor rubi intenso, impenetrável, com reflexos grenás bem brilhantes, finas e lentas lágrimas. Aroma intenso de especiarias com pimenta malagueta, noz moscada, favas de baunilha, aceto balsâmico, seguidos de cereja, amora, ameixa preta, mirtilo, groselha preta, chocolate amargo, café, com bela riqueza de detalhes, mas persistência média. Na boca um vinho seco, encorpado, com maravilhosa acidez. Bem equilibrado, macio, com álcool imperceptível, taninos doces, femininos, com longo final de cereja, amora, mirtilo, ameixa, pimenta malagueta, chocolate amargo e café. Combinou muito bem com a carne assada e o rondelli de presunto queijo em molho ao sugo na casa da Cissa. A companhia da Cissa, do Duke e da Lola deixou ainda melhor este vinho.
